Whats The Process?
There are a variety of types of Augmented Reality from the original Image recognition to Slam (Spatial Localization and mapping) methods which allow you to place down 3d models with or without an image or shape as reference.
Understanding the brief
We invest time to understand the AR concept and mechanics from the outset. We invite you to meet with us first to discuss the core components in further detail so that we may suggest ideas and better understand the concept.
Design and Planning
With a brief in place, we will proceed to plan out all aspects of the project from user interaction to UI layouts and usability, making sure the result is intuitive and easy to control.
Development Process
Once the designs are in place we will proceed by creating the core foundation of the app, this covers the minimal viable product for what the product aims to achieve. We can then proceed to expand upon this building it up into the final product.
Testing and Publishing
Each and every step will be thoroughly tested, with testing builds being supplied as development proceeds. Once the client is happy we release the app to the target devices usually iOS and Android.
The Tools We Used
Unity
Unity has amazing control and great documentation covering Augmented Reality. It even has a base template for very fast prototyping, that said we often create our own version from the ground up to give us complete control over the result.
UE4
Unreal Engine 4 has stunning graphics and renders from the get go, although the build files are often large in size, the result is always stunning. Using its blueprint system and existing examples we can create fast turnaround stunning results for both Android and iOS.

Netzch approached us with the idea of turning some of their existing products into a video format supported for a hologram fan. We optimized their models and used the Unreal game engine to create the video.
